Shield Drivers began in 2015 as a straightforward car service — simple transportation for clients in and around Long Island. But as more people got to know us, the nature of the business started to change.
Many clients found out that the founder is a retired police sergeant with over 25 years of experience in law enforcement. Naturally, they began asking for something beyond just a ride. They wanted someone reliable. Someone with training, awareness, and a presence they could trust — not just another randomly assigned driver from a rideshare app or car service.
It started with small requests:
“Can you drive my child to school?”
“Can you take us to the airport?”
“Can we have the same driver every time?”
Before long, clients began asking for more consistent, personalized service — not just one-time rides, but a driver they could rely on whenever they needed.
Today, Shield Drivers provides law enforcement-trained drivers for individuals, families, executives, and high-profile clients who value security and peace of mind. We specialize in personal and family driving, full-time chauffeur placement, airport transfers, school transportation, and more.
Most of our clients prefer that we drive their own vehicle for comfort, privacy, and familiarity — though we can provide a vehicle if needed. We’re based on Long Island and serve New York City, New Jersey, and Connecticut, but we’re also available to travel nationwide or internationally. Upon request, our drivers can accompany you on flights, by boat, or serve as a travel escort abroad — whether for family trips, business travel, or high-security needs.
